Andrea
Carlevaris, who was appointed in September 2012 as Secretary General,
ICC International Court of Arbitration and as ICC Director of Dispute
Resolution Services, has been elected to the Board of IMI. Mr
Carlevaris' predecessor, Jason Fry, who has re-joined Clifford Chance as
co-Head of the International Arbitration Group, will remain a member of
the IMI Board.
Mr Carlevaris, an Italian citizen, was a
partner of Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, and is a former Counsel to the ICC
International Court of Arbitration.
Ute Joas Quinn, Associate General Counsel at Hess Services UK Ltd and Chair of the IMI Board commented:
"The ICC is one of the world's
thought leaders in alternative dispute resolution. The annual
ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition, now in its 8th year,
is one of the most important educational events in the mediation
calendar, and the annual ICC Mediation Conference, now in its 4th year,
is the world's leading symposium focused on the needs of users. All of
this is attributable to the premier Dispute Resolution Services section
of the ICC innovatively managed by a devoted team. The ICC is a much
valued contributor to IMI and we are delighted to welcome Andrea
Carlevaris both to the ICC as well as to the IMI Board of Directors."
